I started Crossfit in April of 2012 with a goal in mind of joining the navy. Before finding Crossfit 915 I was doing insanity in my garage but I knew I was going to need something more to help me reach my goal faster. So my dad and I started looking for something new. He texts me one day while I’m in school telling me he signed me up for a free intro at Crossfit 915. I had no idea what Crossfit was at the time so I was kind of nervous but still excited at the same time. I finished the WOD for the intro which was the baseline and I knew right then and there that this was exactly what I needed to help me reach my goal.
Ever since that day I haven’t looked back, I’m able to do stuff I’ve never been able to do in my life like a pull up or run long distances. I’ve cleaned up my diet completely! Before Crossfit I never really considered going on a diet, and now I pass a fast food restaurant and think how could you eat that every day of your life? Crossfit hasn’t just changed me physically but also mentally. Every time I go to the gym I just want to give everything I have to where I am dying on the floor afterwards.
Joining Crossfit 915 is the best thing I have ever done with my life! It is a completely different atmosphere from any other gym I have been to. The coaches are the best coaches I have ever had and they work with you in detail because they want to see you succeed. Everyone there is friendly and inviting and they all want the same thing, and that is to be the best that they can be. Since starting Crossfit I have lost the weight I needed to reach my goal of getting into the Navy but now there is so much more I want to accomplish.
I just thank God every day for leading me to Crossfit 915 and helping me turn my life around, and I’m so grateful for all the coaches that have worked with me and push me to be the best I can be. I wouldn’t be able to do any of the stuff I can now if it was not for you guys.
