CrossFit is elite fitness for everyone. Our classes and private coaching are based on the CrossFit program originally developed by legendary coach Greg Glassman after his many years of watching, working with, and coaching all types of people – from those merely interested in general fitness to elite athletes.
CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) executed at high intensity. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a compliment to your sport-specific training regime.
What do I do?!?
Please come in and watch one of our training sessions! CrossFit videos on the internet will scare you away. The first thing you notice when you come in and watch a training session is the different skill levels of all the participants, yet everyone is working out together and supporting one another.
We have a very different attitude at our gym compared to many other CrossFit gyms. Our first focus is that you move well. Our trainers will COACH you, not yell at you to move faster or try and get you to do something you don’t want to do or are not truly capable of doing. Personal training is for anyone who wants to train one-on-one or in a small group. Most clients begin personal training with a package of 12 sessions. During personal training you will work with your trainer to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements as well as log your nutrition and get weekly feedback.
You will find the greatest success with personal training if your needs or goals include: weight loss and improved body composition, extra accountability, you have been sedentary for several years, you are new to exercise, you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor, you have specific performance-oriented goals (triathlon, basketball, etc.) and may require both in-season and off-season training regimes, or if you have significant health or orthopedic issues.
Your trainer will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and progress you at the proper pace for you. The CrossFit 915 On Ramp Program is designed to expose the newest members of our community to our foundational movements in a small group setting. Our On Ramp session contains 12 classes which meet 3 days a week for 4 weeks. Our On Ramp program is designed to start the athlete at the basic progressions of movements (squat, press, deadlift) and increase in movement difficulty as well as intensity. The movement curriculum is sequential and attendance to all sessions is fundamental to your gaining the necessary proficiency and preparation for our On Ramp classes. By the end of the 4 week program, you will have the foundation of basic movement and conditioning to allow for participation in CrossFit classes at CrossFit 915. Our coaches will provide intensive instruction, nutrition consultation, and progressive introduction to the intensity levels that are inherent in our group coaching sessions. Most people that start CrossFit begin with On Ramp. There is occasionally an athlete with enough experience and ability to skip directly to our group classes. If you have previous CrossFit experience, or experience with Olympic weightlifting and rudimentary gymnastics/bodyweight movements such as pullups, pushups, and squats, and believe that you are decently fit, please contact us in order to discuss this option. FEMMEfit is a program which was designed and started at CrossFit 915. Our FEMMEfit program takes our experience with functional, results-oriented fitness and combines it with the specific needs and goals of women. FEMMEfit was made for women of all ages and skill levels who are still interested in high-intensity, effective workouts, but with a feminine twist. FEMMEfit incorporates all of the training methodologies of CrossFit, with the exception of barbell training- so beginners are welcome every day!
